The Authority seeks balance and reasonableness from Federal and State implementation of Endangered Species Act in the Mojave and Colorado Desert regions. We are committed to conserving the desert environment and desert tortoise, but we insist upon the opportunity to retain and develop economic uses of public and private lands, and assuring no net loss and seeking increases of tax bases. We are committed to assuring regional communication, coordination and action among local governments in the region on natural resources and public lands issues affecting our citizens.
