The objectives of the QuadState Local Government Authority are to:

1. Represent the residents of the respective counties in seeking balance between environmental and economic issues in the Mojave and Colorado Desert regions.
   
   
2. Protect and conserve habitats for animal and plant species in conjunction with protecting economic stability and economic development.
   
   
3. Work with state and federal agencies in finding ways to resolve environmental issues with minimum restrictions by using the best science and applying the most practical measures.
   
   
4. Participate in all public planning efforts that could impact residents to ensure that the Authority's concerns are expressed and considered by those developing the plans.
